TALK TO SOMEONE
Emigrating to a new country can be stressful. We can all feel isolated when separated from our family, friends and neighbors. Making the transition to a new country isn’t easy. Be aware of the stresses that you are under in your new “adopted country.” The pressures of long working hours, low pay, extended commutes, absence of strong community and cultural ties, rearing children, and the lack of social venues other than the bar scene can take their toll. These affect our relationships and lives. |

The Aisling Irish Center has two licensed psychotherapists available for evening or afternoon appointments. In addition, Catholic Charities provides a full time social worker at the Center from Monday to Friday, 9am-5pm. We have an off-site counseling facility for those wishing to speak to our counselors outside of the center. |
